Their work, ‘Sigma-1 receptor recruits LC3 mRNA to ER-associated omegasomes to promote localized LC3 translation enabling functional autophagy’, was published in Cell Reports on August 10, 2024.
Jeff successfully defended his thesis, “How the endoplasmic reticulum promotes autophagy with insights illuminating basic human disease mechanisms” on May 24, 2024.
Madison successfully defended her thesis, “An Endoplasmic Reticulum Junctional Structure Supports Nuclear Protein Quality Control and Viral Pathogenesis” on April 18, 2024.
